About the program
For more than 6 years, ISTC, in collaboration with Yerevan State University, has been dedicated to offering Master's Programs in Data Science. This partnership ensures that students receive the highest quality education by providing all necessary facilities and resources. The programs are continually updated and modernized to align with the evolving needs of the current market, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the industry.
Students can choose from two specialized degrees: Applied Statistics and Data Science, and Data Science for Business. Both programs offer a robust curriculum that covers essential aspects of data science, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers. By participating in these programs, students become part of a dynamic learning community committed to innovation and excellence in the field of data science.

Data Science for Business
Yerevan State University (YSU) and Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) with the support of Philip Morris International (PMI) have launched the Data Science for Business Master’s Degree program in 2017.
The program allows students to be part of the data revolution happening in the world connecting theoretical knowledge in data science with the requirements of the business. The duration of the program is 2 years.
The Master in Data Science for Business is an innovative gateway degree that is designed to train a new generation of data-driven and innovation-oriented professionals able to work with large-scale data in the new Big Data ecosystem as data scientists in the key areas of business intelligence, customer analytics, data modeling, and managing.
This unique master degree program engages in intensive team challenges, giving practical, hands-on experience working directly with industry experts. The curricula of the program have a 50% programming backup, and the classes will be held both in Yerevan State University and in ISTC using the given facility and resources.
The admission will be based on prior selection and further examination.
Prerequisites: the Master’s Program is open for students from all the universities; the bachelor’s degree is obligatory.

Applied Statistics and Data Science
Starting from 2018, Yerevan State University Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics are offering a Joint Master’s Degree Program – Applied Statistics and Data Science. The program is being implemented in cooperation with ISTC.
This is a great chance for all those who consider pursuing a master’s degree by exploring statistical methodology to solve real-world problems in education, engineering, agriculture, forestry, life sciences, and beyond and developing a deep and broad-based understanding of this research area. This new Master’s Degree Program will engage in intensive team challenges and give practical, hands-on experience working directly with industry experts.
Applied Statistics and Data Science Master’s Program will not merely complement the previous academic study, it will teach skills to existing professionals who wish to capitalize on the data revolution happening in the world today. This Master’s Program is suitable for learners from a broad range of backgrounds including those from the STEM-related fields
The classes are being held both in Yerevan State University and in ISTC using the given facility and resources. The curricula of the Master’s Program includes Machine Learning, Time series analysis, Python, Deep Learning, Optimization, Advanced Statistical Modeling, Applied Statistics with R, Statistical Analysis of Financial Data etc.
